Fotbal

Fotbal, commonly known as soccer in some regions, is a team sport played between two teams of eleven players each. The objective of the game is to score by getting the ball into the opposing team’s goal. The game is played on a rectangular field called a pitch, which is typically grass or turf, and features a goal at each end. Players primarily use their feet to move the ball, but they can also use their heads and any part of their body except for their arms and hands. Only the goalkeepers are allowed to handle the ball within their penalty area. The sport is governed by sets of rules known as the Laws of the Game, established by the International Football Association Board (IFAB). Matches consist of two halves, each lasting 45 minutes, with a 15-minute halftime interval. The team with the most goals at the end of the match wins. If the score is tied, the match may end as a draw or proceed to extra time and penalties, depending on the competition rules. Football is one of the most popular sports worldwide, with a significant following, numerous professional leagues, and international tournaments, such as the FIFA World Cup.
